The room was originally a guest bedroom. After the Galighers’ oldest son, Frank, married he and his bride made this room their home. The bedroom set is walnut and Louis XV in style. It belonged to Reed Green. Reed Green and his father, Judge William Green, were prominent attorneys in Cairo. This room has a small closet created by the curve in the staircase. Also, note that there is a door that goes into the sewing room from this room. The sewing room was used by the Galigher children as a stage for their plays. This bedroom and the master bedroom were used for costume changes.
